Sweet Vermicelli with Coconut || Cook with me!
Vermicelli is one of our popular dessert snacks. It's more like part of our culture. No big events and festivals can go without having some dessert made out of Vermicelli. We locally call it 'Shemai'. There are many varieties of Vermicelli and as such many dessert items too.
Today, I'm gonna share one of my easy recipes, which I do prepare regularly. It's easy to prepare, doesn't need many ingredients and delicious to eat. The best thing is, you can preserve this in the fridge for a few days.
This is how it will look like after you prepared it.
The ingredients you may need.
- White Vermicelli
- Sugar
- Butter
- Milk & milk powder
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom
- Raisin or any other day fruit
- Fresh coconut flakes
So, let's start!
Take some coconut flakes. I made coconut flakes at home. You can use any packed product too.
Some milk powder
And white Vermicelli
Fry the Vermicelli for a minute in a pan to give it a good cranch.
Mix the coconut flacks and milk powder with the fried Vermicelli.
Put some butter in the pan.
Put some Cinnamon and Cardamon on the butter.
Fry for a minute. Then put the Vermicelli we have mixed with coconut and milk powder in the hot pan.
Roast it for another minute. And then put some sugar as per your taste. And give it a good mix and roast, until the sugar melts down.
Put some raisin or any other dry fruit you want to add just before putting the pan off.
And, it's done!
This is the fried dry version. You can add some hot milk after the process it will become another delicious item. I usually make it dry and after a day add some milk with it. So we can enjoy both.
This is how it will look like after adding hot milk.
So, that's it. My easy lazy recipe. I hope you will love it.
