After long time, I had continuous two days holiday from my professional work. So I immediately decided to walk and hike very nearest but more naturalize place. I had visited 5 times Kanneliya rain forest here because those forest located distance 42 km since my home area. I couldn't covered whole forest in one day. So I went there for coverage various locations in Kanneliya.

I already wrote travel guidance about Kanneliya through travel blog how we want to go there. If you'll come since Colombo, use Colombo - Galle road or southern express way. Then use Galle to Neluwa road. I went there last Sunday with my two friends. Climate was too hot.

After the entered to the forest I walked through under the tree shades. But sometimes I directly faced to the hot sunlight. That times swears came out and felt tired lot. But I knew walking is perfect exercise.

Guys you know, every forest have various species trees, plants and vines. Actually that's one part a beauty of the nature. Every greenery scenes giving big inspiration to my life. So why I don't like to travel inside the forests.

In the first zone of the forest, we followed the footsteps of small, branching trees. This is a region inhabited by a large number of leeches.

We cannot see all the beautiful things of nature at once. Our eyes should search for it. Finally we can make glorious properties from the nature through our photo clicks.

Due to the lack of rainfall these days we have seen very little water. But during the rainy season, it turns into a beautiful waterfall and flows downhill.

The water was low but there was no lack of cleanliness. Unfortunately there were broken arrack bottles and beer bottles. When I came down from the stone to take pictures of them, I immediately left because there were three very toxic snakes. They came to water flows for drink water. Those snakes suffered without water in this forest. Every travels inside forest can be risky. But we have good eye for protecting our life.

This small waterfall sits on the surface of the trees and brings a strange view. But those trees strongly placed this place. Sometimes roots like as black color snakes. I was worried for a moment what that type of snake was.

Another oldest tree I found since Kanneliya. I talked more important about forest through yesterday's video on Dtube platform.

The Kanneliya Rain forest, second only to the Sinharaja Rain forest in terms of size, is second to none in terms of aesthetics. The forest is a sensitive ecological region with high biodiversity.

Walking further, I could see beautifully spread vines on a stone. It's marvelous creation of the nature. In fact every nature's properties connecting each others and shown awesome creativity to us.

In the midst of this strong tree was a stag. As my observation I found lot of stags like these species trees. Probably It's common characteristic of tree.

This rain forest is a major catchment area for two of the most important rivers in southern Sri Lanka, the Gin and Nilwala rivers. Many of the flora and fauna endemic to Sri Lanka are protected by this biosphere.

It was evening and the weather changed at the same time as we got closer to the mountain. The surrounding area was covered with fog and the sky was ready for rain. So we had to come back. The rain fell as soon as it reached the starting point.
