The fork has split users, no doubt about that. I anticipate several months of chaos as the community shuffles around and a consensus develops for the best platform. Hive is going through a few development issues, although that is to be expected, and is much smoother than I initially expected it to be. Steemit has almost 4 years of head start on brand awareness and PR, although Sun has done a lot to kill established good will. I also expect token prices to wildly fluctuate as people buy, sell, and speculate across the platforms. Who knows where this will go. For me, Hive will be the main platform for now. What the future holds is hard to say.
