A tribute to the midnight sun
It is "only" 6 month until we can enjoy the midnight sun again. Therefore, while we have polar night I think it is appropriate to celebrate.
The pictures is from Lofoten a couple of years ago. My daughters have danced ballet from they was small. They always come up with ideas to do, and try. This evening they decided that they should pose with the midnight sun in the background and I had to take some pictures.
The place is on the west side of Lofoten with the sun disappearing in the atlantic.
The light changes fast as the sun disappears.
I wish you all a sunny evening, or day.
Harald
Such romantic pictures, beautiful silhouette and sunset. That such unique effect when the sun is so low and the colors of clouds are purple, orange, pink all the mix of blue, red in different grades.
Thank @stef1😊

I have always wondered what it is like to live with a polar night and a midnight sun. Have you always lived where this occurs? If not, did you notice any changes to your body or mind or daily rhythms when you moved to this area? I find the way your photos celebrate the sun so much more poignant knowing that you experience the sun in such a different way than I do where I live. Thank you for sharing 🌱
Thank you for visiting. I am born here and is used to it. People who have moved to the north, say the dark time sometimes isn't easy. They got more tired, and have less enegy. Some feel a little depressed. I think for myself I am less active out because of the lack of light. It is dark around 2 o'clock. The light there is can be very beautiful when the sky is clear.
