Rooftop gardening in Dhaka city and my thoughts

Today my post is related to rooftop gardening in our beloved Dhaka City of Bangladesh.

Urbanisation has grabbed us in many ways. Specially, the modern urbanisation is affecting the nature. High rise buildings are growing and we are loosing the mother nature from the city area. People are chopping down the trees to build the buildings. Some of the areas you will not see a single tree the far your eyes can see. This is very much alarming situation for the city duellers.

In this situation, the rooftop gardening has become a tremendous solution. The rooftop garden is the source of vegetables, oxygen and also enhance the beautification.

Recently, the rooftop gardening has become revolution in Dhaka city. You will find garden almost all rooftop of the buildings. People are growing vegetables, different plants and flowers garden on their rooftop. Some pictures from my rooftop are given below.

Rooftop gardening has become popular for many reasons. One of the reasons is food adulteration. The sellers are using hazardous Formalene with the vegetables and fruits which is very much harmful for human health. To avoid this people are trying to grow something to their rooftop garden to get rid off these foods adulteration. Sharing some other pictures of fruits from my rooftop garden.

People are interested in rooftop gardening for business purposes as well. Rooftop nursery has become very much popular and they are doing good profits from it. Here are some other pictures from my rooftop vegetables garden.

I am fond of rooftop gardening. I think you may have already understood that how much I love this after seeing all above pictures. These all pictures are from my garden. I love rooftop gardening not only for growing vegetables or fruits but also for beautification. Here are some pictures of flowers from my rooftop garden.

The matter of hope of growing rooftop garden in the city is that many organisations voluntarily helping people to do rooftop gardening. They are giving plants and advices to do it. Some other pictures from my adjacent rooftop garden. They have also a big garden in their rooftop.
