SOME THINGS - Portrait in colored pencils.
Some of us had grandmothers who were sweet in character but also very iron. I remember my grandmother, Margarita was called and she was small but full of vigor, a woman of action.
Sure, in her eighties she was no longer the same, but I was excited by the stories that she herself told us and that her daughters, my aunts, remembered.
She hunted, fished, milked; He learned to knit and was bold in the kitchen.
From the roughest to the most delicate. A sweet but tenacious grandmother.
He also planted, liked the land, from an orange tree to rose bushes of all the colors he could collect.
A strong and complete woman, hard-working and tireless mother, I met her serene side, her soft and kind side.
I made this portrait at the request of my mother, it is the first time that I draw an old person and enlarge such a small photograph. I have to admit it was a headache and I don't want to use such a small photo again.
See a little of the process of this project made with colored pencils.
