আসলে আমি যে কোন ধরনের প্রতিযোগিতা ভালোবাসি, কারন এর মাধ্যমে নিজের কিছু কথা এবং নিজের যোগ্যতা কিংবা দক্ষতা প্রমানের দারুন একটি সুযোগ পাওয়া যায়। কিছু দিন পূর্বে আমি একটি নতুন কমিউনিটি হতে প্রতিযোগিতার বিষয়ে আমন্ত্রণ পাই এবং সেই কমিউনিটি সম্পর্কে বেশ উৎসাহ বোধ করি, কারন এটি আরো একটি বাংলাদেশ কমিউনিটি।

In fact, I love any kind of competition, because it provides a great opportunity to prove one's worth and skills. A few days ago I was invited to a competition to be a new community and I feel very excited about that community, because it is another Bangladeshi community.

আমি আনন্দের সাথে এই কমিউনিটিতে জয়েন করি এবং বেশ ভালো একটি রুল নিয়ে নতুনভাবে কমিউনিটির সাথে যুক্ত হয়ে কাজ করার পরিকল্পনা করছি। ভবিষ্যতে আমি নিজেও কমিউনিটির পক্ষ হতে প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজনের আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করছি।

I gladly join this community and plan to work with the community in a new way with a pretty good rule. In the future, I myself am interested in organizing competitions on behalf of the community.

Name of Bride & Groom and relationship with Me?

এটি ২০১৮ সালের ঘটনা, আমার খালাতো বোনের মেয়ের বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠান ছিলো এটি। তখন আমরা ঢাকার বাহিরে থাকতাম। বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহন করার জন্য দুইদিন আগেই আমরা ঢাকায় চলে আসি। বিয়ের বরের নাম হলো সোহাগ এবং পাত্রির নাম হলো স্বর্ণা। দুইজনকে বেশ মানানসই লাগছিলো।

This was the event of 2018, it was the wedding ceremony of my cousin's daughter. Then we lived outside Dhaka. We moved to Dhaka two days ago to attend the wedding. The groom's name is Sohag and the bride's name is Swarna. The two seemed quite compatible.

Wedding date, time and location

বিয়েটি হয়েছিলো ফেব্রুয়ারী মাসের শেষের দিকে যদিও তারিখটি সঠিক মনে নেই আমার, তবে ২৫ কিংবা ২৬ তারিখ হবে। অনুষ্ঠানটি হয়েছিলো ঢাকার কমলাপুরে। তবে কমিউনিটি সেন্টারটির অবস্থান ছিলো মতিঝিল সিনেমা হলের ঠিক পিছনের দিকে। বেশ সুন্দর ছিলো কমিউনিটি সেন্টারটি। প্রায় ৩০০ জন লোকের আয়োজন হয়েছিলো তখন।

The wedding took place at the end of February. Although I don't remember the exact date, it will be on the 25th or 26th. The event was held at Kamalapur in Dhaka. However, the location of the community center was just behind the Motijheel Cinema Hall. The community center was quite beautiful. About 300 people were organized then.

It’s a love marriage or arranged marriage?

না এটা লাভ ম্যারিজ ছিলো না, কারন আমাদের দেশে এখনো এই সংস্কৃতি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হতে পারে নাই। কারন অধিকাংশ পরিবার লাভ ম্যারিজ মেনে নিতে অস্বীকৃতি জানায়। পরিবারের সম্মতিতে এই বিবাহটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছিলো।

No it was not a love marriage, because this culture has not yet been established in our country. Because most families refuse to accept profit marriages. The marriage was solemnized with the consent of the family.

অনুষ্ঠানের সকল কিছুই বেশ ঝাক জমক পূর্ণ ছিলো। বিশেষ করে পাত্র এবং পাত্রীর পোষাক বেশ চমৎকার লাগছিলো। আমি আমার পছন্দের রং এর শাড়ী পরেছিলাম। কারন লাল এবং গোলাপী এই দুই রংয়ের শাড়ী আমার কাছে সবচেয়ে বেশী ভালো লাগে।

Everything in the ceremony was quite glamorous. Especially the pot and the bride's dress looked quite nice. I wore a sari of my favorite color. Because I like red and pink sari the most.

হ্যা, সবচেয়ে মজার ঘটনা ঘটেছিলো খাবারের টেবিলে। কারন আমাদের দেশে একটি সংস্কৃতি চালু রয়েছে যে, পাত্র এবং পাত্রী খাবারের সময় তাদের সাথে অন্যরাও বসে এবং খাবার নিয়ে মজা করে। এখানেও তাই হয়েছিলো। খাবার টেবিলে আমিও খেতে বসেছিলাম কিন্তু দুঃখজনকভাবে আমি খাবার খাওয়ার সুযোগ পাই নাই।

Yes, the funniest thing happened at the dinner table. Because there is a culture in our country that the bride and groom sit with others during the meal and have fun with the food. The same thing happened here. I also sat down to eat at the dining table but sadly I didn’t get a chance to eat.

এই বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানটির জন্য আমরা ঢাকার প্রায় ৫ দিন ছিলাম। বেশ আনন্দ উপভোগ করার সুযোগ পেয়েছিলাম। সত্যি বলতে আনন্দের কথা বিবেচনা করলে এটি ছিলো আমার অংশগ্রহনের সেরা বিবাহ অনুষ্ঠান।

We were in Dhaka for about 5 days for this wedding ceremony. Got a chance to enjoy quite a bit. Honestly, it was the best wedding I ever attended.
