Achievement 2: Basic Security On Steemit by @zarapeters
STEEMIT KEYS
The Steemit keys are like security codes which allows a steemit account holder to perform the various login actions. These keys are very important considering the fact that they're ones only security to his/her steemit account and wallets assets. The steemit keys are not meant to be shared amongst users, unless in cases of a joint account, these keys are for personal and private uses only. Therefore a user should out effort to secure his/her steemit keys properly and safely. Myself as user have saved my keys as a special folder to my external storage device. and also to my phone memory. I have also written down on a clean in my personal diary.
TYPES OF STEEMIT KEYS
After creating your steemit account, you'll b asked to download your keys as a pdf. The PDF contains instructions and your for keys, I'ld briefly explain those keys;
POSTING KEYS; This is a key which a user would use to login into his/her account in order to perform the basic actions which includes; posting, commenting on the posts of other users and also to upvote/downvote, follow a user, etc.
ACTIVE KEYS; This key is a special one, which is used to login to your steem wallet and access whatever steem assets in your wallet. Allowing you to perform actions in the wallet like; transfer, power up/down, etc.
OWNER KEY; This key basically helps a user recover his/her account, when lost or hijacked.
MASTER PASSWORD; The master password which is also called Master Key is a key used to generate the other keys during sign up.
MEMO KEY; The memo key is only used during transfers between for encryption and decryption. And to generate other keys
HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT.
1.) In other to transfer steem between accounts, the user must first login to his steemit wallet.
2.) Once logged in, he/she should click on drop down arrow sign beside his/her current steem balance. Select transfer from the listed options.
3.) A page requiring the details of the transfer comes next, details to be filled includes username you're transferring to, amount of Steems to be transferred and a memo(where necessary). After filling the details, click next. Another page for confirmation come next, click okay and if you have a sufficient balance your steem will be transferred.
HOW TO POWER UP STEEM
1.) While logged in to your steemit wallet
2.) Click on drop down arrow beside your current steem balance, click on power from the listed options.
3.) A page comes up, in this page user is required to fill in amount of steems he/she wishes to power up. Do not fill in an amount that exceeds your current balance. Press okay when the next confirmation page come up.
Every transaction/activity in the wallet registered in your wallet history few seconds after.

Yes ma'am. Thank you for the comment and for the verification. I'll be making dairy post tonight in steem4nigeria community. I have already taken note of the various clubs and I'ld like to ask you a question regarding them. I have set out to join the #club100, so can I start powering up and using the # tag or must I wait till 3 months before I could start using the #club100 tag. I'ld be happy if you can clear me on this
