Achievement 2: Basic Security on Steem by @Xnab

Hello Steemian, I have finished the first Achievement 1 about self introduce, then now I will make a post about Achievement 2: Basic Security on Steem. This task is important for Newcomers to gain an understanding of Steem Security Mechanism.

I have retrieved all the keys and saved them into my PC and USB drive as backup data. These all the keys are very important to us for security, protection, and anticipation from hackers nor any unwanted events. Every key and password have a function.

Posting Key
The Posting Key is a Key used by Steemians for daily login. This key is used to write a blog, post, replies, check communities, and notifications. With this key, you can do comment, edit, vote, follow, and mute other Steemians.

Active Key
The Active Key is used for a transactional activity like transferring money, power up/power down, converting Steem Dollar. Besides transactional activity, it can use for voting for witnesses, updating profile, and make a market order.

Owner Key
The Owner Key is used when there is something important. If you want to change any other Key, you should use this key, including changing the Owner Key itself. So this is the most powerful key.

Memo Key
The Memo Key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring money. Use the pound sign /# to encrypt memos.

Master Password
This Master Password is used to generate all keys for Account Recovery Purposes. So this is the most important part of all of those Steem keys. Master Password obtained when signing up, then go to Steem.wallet to retrieve all the other keys, and only use those keys when it is necessary.

I already kept my master password on PC and USB Drive as backup data. For security purposes, I always update my Windows Defender and put my USB Drive in a safe place.

This is how I transfer my Steem token to another Steem user account:

Click on the Avatar icon which places in the upper right of the website and click wallet.

Login into a wallet with Active Key.

On the Balances page click amount at the right STEEM column and click transfer.

Fill in username and amount, then click Next.

Click ok to confirm transfer

Sign in to complete transfer

This is how to powerup Steem the Balances page click amount at the right STEEM column, click power up.

Enter some amount of Steem, click power up.

Click ok to confirm power up

Sign in to complete power up
