Good day my fellow steemains, hope you all are fine i wish to let you know that i have achieved my post in achievement one being my introduction post and i wish to succeed in my next achievement being achievement two in basic steemit security and their functions

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit??

Yes i have, i received it as a PDF on my document. Containing all the security keys then, i kept them in a safe place(in my google account) and i also laminated it to keep it safe and secured

Do you know the different steemit keys and their functions

There are several keys on steemit and they are as follows

• posting key

• owners key

• public keys

• active key

• memo key

• master password
  Let take the keys one after the other and their functions

• Posting key:eventually posting key is usually used on steemit, posting key is a key which is
  used in voting, commenting and also used to log in your steemit
  These key is also known as the most used key in steemit.

• owners key:according to my understanding this key is a key used to obtain account that has being been compromised within 20-40 days or above. It is also a key used to arrange other key which are also used in steemit
  It is mainly used in solving different actions in steemit
  Such as:
  Active,Resset owner,and posting
  And also for recovery of an account

• public key:with my observation and understanding, it is a key found in your blockchain these key is not required during login. So it is sentenced not to be all that safe. It is a key which is intact with your username and also performe some activities in terms of transactions on your blockchain
  In conclusion it is not a key that should be stressed to be safe

• Active key: this is a normalized key set in performing/authorisation of steem power and transfer. It is known to be among the powerful keys in steemit which perform high level activities. For example

• Activation of steem wallet

• performing transfer of steem

• power up/down

• commercial voting for witness

• delegation of steem power

• profile exchanges

• SBD conversation.

• memo key:this key is not mostly used in steemit but used to encrypt messages and decrypt private messages

• master key: this is a key invented or presserved for some sensitive/accurate account acction thay wont need to be performed daily .it is also known as a password which is stored to perform many actions which might not to be disclosed or open unlike other steemit keys
  Therefore master password is said to be kept safe and secured . markdown of it functions

• gives continuous access that goes through all restiction

• it is a key which must be provided for password and key reset

How to power up

Powering up is the process whereby you convert the steem which you gain through posting on steemit platform to steem power.
Powering up insures your steem and make you improve power in steemit platform. The steps i used to power up my steem are as follows:

Firstly i tap on the wallet icon which is at the left corner of my profile

After that it took me to another page which is my steemit wallet and i tap on the small arrow that is close to my steem coin

I tap power up since i am to power up my steem but if you want to transfer your steem coin you can tap on the transfer icon

After that it took me to next page were i filled the quantity of steem i want to power up. After filling the number i tap on power up and ok.

Here is the last step to power up your steem. Here in this page i signed with my active key.
