WHAT IS PLAGIARISM:
This is the representation of another author's language, thought,ideas,or expressions as one's own original work .
Also plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
-COPY AND PASTE PLAGIARISM
This is also known as direct plagiarism meaning copying a passage from a source without a citation.
MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
This means using various phrase , passages and ideas from different sources to create a kind of mosaic or patch work of another researcher work, without proper citation.SELF PLAGIARISM
This mean reusing part of your own previous work (e.g submitting the same Paper to different class or recycling a data set ) without acknowledging this.GLOBAL PLAGIARISM
This means submitting an entire work written by someone else .That includes having a friend write your paper for you or buying an essay from an online source.WAYS OF AVOIDING PLAGIARISM
When u want to include an exact phrase, sentence or passage from a source, use a QUOTATION.
When you want to express an idea or information from a source, paraphrase or summarizing it entirely in your own words.
Always cite the source when you quote , paraphrase or summarize.
With these following ways i hope plagiarism can be reduced.
