Achievement 3: Content Etiquette

Hello steemians, I hope everyone is doing well by God's grace. Today I would like to complete my achievement 3 post of which achievement post makes you understand your knowledge and learning etiquette of steemit.

What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism or Copyright infringement is introducing another person's work or thoughts as your own, with or without their assent, by joining it into your work without full affirmation.
It's an act of presenting someone else's idea as your own with or without their consent.

Plagiarism can be intentional or not.
Obviously, the intentional Plagiarism can be simply explained as an intended or deliberate way of taking or copying an idea which isn't yours and making it look like you're the rightful or original author or maker of that thing.
Unintentional Plagiarism on the other hand is apparently the direct opposite of the intentional Plagiarism.
In other instances, repeating your own work as new thought can also be counted as Plagiarism.

Ways by which you can stop Plagiarism

• One way you can avoid Plagiarism is by keeping keen track of the sources of consult during research.

• Since it's almost impossible to bring new ideas on a particular topic sometimes, it's common to take or pick help from other sources. But in so doing, you have to paraphrase or quote from your sources and also add your own ideas if possible.

• One of the most relevant and crucial things to do to avoid your work being tagged as plagiarized is by crediting the original author, composer or artist of the work you're taking. This can either be done in an intext Citation or simply by a reference list.

• One of the last thing I'll advise a person to do to avoid Plagiarism is by using a Plagiarism checker to scan the finished work before publishing. Just like how I said it, literary works or words are old and it's easy to copy them without knowing. You might have heard a saying somewhere and might try to use it but unknowingly, it might be a phrase from a prominent person and such statements, when used, can be tagged as plagiarized. So to be on the safer side, it's better to scan your work through a checker to check the Plagiarism content in it even if you didn't copy from any source.
