Achievement 2 || Basic security on steemit by @t-martins

So, having done my achievement 1 task, I will be making my achievement 2 today on basic security in steemit. Ordinarily, there's need for security in every sphere of life. And the steem blockchain is not left out security in steemit in other to keep its keys safe.

Every user is entitled to some keys on steemit that will enhance transactions effectively especially with regards to ones wallet. Loosing these keys leaves the user at the jeopardy of loosing his account and assets on the steem blockchain.

Security is the art of safeguarding a thing from potential harm. In steemit, security in steemit is all about safe keeping your account details to avoid being hijacked. Insecurity in steemit might lead to loosing ones earning on steemit to hackers.

Different keys that need to be preserved
There are different keys every steemian is giving to once his account is set and they include:

• Active key
• Private posting key
• Memo key
• Owner key etc

Active key
These keys are required when there is need to transfer tokens to other users or in event of powering up and powering down.

Private posting key
These keys are selectively used to complete activities like commenting, voting, posting and delegating.

Memo key
These keys are basically used to decrypt and encrypt memo fund transfer.

Owner key
These keys are used to reset other keys and when ones account is lost, it can only be recovered using this key.

The following questions are to attended to show user's understanding on basic security on steemit.

yes, I have. And I have retrieved it.

Do you Know each of these keys functions and restrictions?
yes, I do.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password?
Ans: By writing it down on my diary and by saving it on my email.

Question 4

Do you Know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
yes, I do. I will demonstrate using a screenshot below.

• Click on wallet
• Click on the arrow pointing down and and then transfer.

Then type in the account username you want to transfer the steem to and the number of steems and then click next.

Question 5

Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes, I do
Powering up your steem is a way of converting your steem to steem power.
And you do that clicking on the wallet tab and insteem arrow and then click on power up as seen in the image below.

On clicking power up, another page will show where you need to insert the amount of steem you wish to power up and click on power up

I believe I have been able to demonstrate my knowledge on basic steem security even to a lay man's understanding and to the point that a new user can easily grab the processes.
