Achievement 3 by @sksetu Task : Content Etiquette

in Newcomers' Community3 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to complete my Achievement 3.
I'm @sksetu.

In Achievement 2, I have written about basic security and proper uses of steemit keys. Now, I am going to share some basic ideas about Plagiarism on steem.

Steemit is a great platform where people can share their content or articles. Here people tried hard to make their contents real and original. We also can gain knowledge from their contents like photography, blog etc. We can also take ideas from those posts. If we used their ideas or words then we must have to give their proper credits. If we publish our content without giving them proper respect then it will be considered as Plagiarism.

A creator tries hard from his/her heart and soul to make his/her content or article as a qualityful content/article. Committing plagiarism can save your time and make your post beautiful then original but it's very cheap to steal someone's creativity. Plagiarism can be marked as various types. Here I have discussed some of them below. 👇

Various types of Plagiarism

Verbatim Plagiarism

If someone directly copy - paste text from an article and didn't give credit to the original author, then it will be considered as Verbatim Plagiarism. It also can be called as Copy-Paste plagiarism.

Mosaic Plagiarism

If someone used some words or sentences or phrases from an article or a document and didn't give credit to the original author ,then it will be considered as Mosaic Plagiarism.

Self-Plagiarism

When someone submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works, without permission from all professors involved, then it will be considered as self plagiarism.

Global Plagiarism

When someone takes the entire work by someone else and passing it off as his/her own. If someone find an article on online and submit it as his/her own work, then it will be considered as Global Plagiarism.

The author will feel demotivated when he/she will notice his/her content has been stolen by someone and didn't give any credit to the author. It also feels discouraged for the original author. So, We should always give the proper support and credit to the original author if we used their article/document. We can give them credits by attaching the Citation of their resources. That's the proper way to avoid plagiarism. It will help us make us more creative and make our content beautiful.

To avoid plagiarism, I have added the proper source of the pictures I have used for this post.

Thanks for reading.
