Achievement 3 by @sindi16 Task : Content Etiquette

This is my third post and achievement 3 post about content etiquette. I went through all the sources mentioned in achievement 3 task post clearly and I’m gonna make this post according to my knowledge that I’ve gained.

Plagiarism is simply known as that introducing a work that is not belonging to you like your own work. It is completely an abuse of other’s works and get an inappropriate reputation or admiring on behalf of the real person.

According to Wikipedia,

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work.

Steemit is a platform that rewarded you with original and imaginative contents. We all can make remarkable and Steem exclusive contents to add more value to the platform. Most of the times, peoples are trying to follow copy paste concept without comprehensions and come up with own ideas. We can read and use any resources to take knowledge but it doesn’t intend to publish those things without mentioning its real authors or without giving proper remark on their works. In some cases, some users make posts using eliminations, spinning and omitting two-three words from the original works.

On the other hand, some have published content that translated from one language to another language. This is also considered plagiarism. In some cases, users are trying to cross-posting within several communities and several platforms other than Steemit. There is another thing that users are doing is, they make content by giving the websites and other sources that have taken the data to their post. But when reading the post, it’s a copy-paste from that given sources.

The citation methods for preventing plagiarism doesn’t mean that we are allowed to publish other’s work with 100% but to mention a definition for their contents. Plagiarism is not only for the written contents but also for the images and each of everything that we are mentioning within our creations from the outside works.

We can make unique, clear and valuable contents to our knowledge and experiences. We can mention other’s works under proper markdown styles. When we use images, we can use copyright free sites with proper citations. Use proper markdown styles for the applying of phrases and definition make our content more worth and solid.
