This is my achievement 2 and my second post here that I’m going to make.The basic security of Steemit mainly depends on the responsibility of its users and how far they aware and engage with the actions that a user is made on this platform. As this is a blockchain-based platform the hacking of an account and reversing its every transaction is impossible. If someone is trying to do so, they will have to solve thousands of algorithm which has been connected within ledger pages to crack down the chain. But there can be phishing attacks to steal your keys rather than hacking you. Phishing is vulnerable for everyone as we are humans with curious minds. Because of that, it’s better not to provide any keys to insecure sites or any other third party applications without a clear understanding of its underlying aspects.

Steemit provides you with five different keys for different aspects. They manage and decentralize the authority of giving dynamic functional accessibilities to your account. In the cryptocurrency world, we can store our keys physically or virtually. We can store the keys with external hard drives pen drives phone storage virtually. Apart from that we can sure the safety of keys in a written document.

Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?

Yes, I have retrieved all steemit keys that have been provided at the creation of this account. And I carefully downloaded my key collection PDF and thoroughly went through every key with their descriptions.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes, I’ve got a proper idea about how and when we have to use these different keys. We have provided five keys. Keys can be lined according to their power and accessibility to the account as below.

1. Private posting key
2. Private active key
3. Memo key
4. Owner key
5. Master key

Private posting key mainly allows you to do your day to day basic functions like make a post, voting, commenting, view other’s posts and explore communities. But this has no authority to act with your wallet based activities.

The private active key allows you to engage with your wallet actions such as trade, use internal market, power up/down, and currency transferring with another user. It’s better that you use this password on time and don’t save this with your Google account. This is why in any case someone with access to your mail can easily logging into your account wallet and do any monetary action without your knowing.

Memo key when you make a memo on a blockchain, it will read with the help of this memo key. The key will help in encrypt and decrypt of the memos in a blockchain.

Owner key a valuable and one of the most powerful keys in the collection. This has the authority of changing any other key in your account.

The master key is the main key to generate your keys collection and this shouldn’t be handed over to anyone. If someone got this, they can collect your all other keys without your permission.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have kept the PDF within my laptop and my mobile phone in a secure folder that is allowed to enter with a password.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another user account?

1.Log in to your wallet
2.Select the token to transfer (Steem or SBD)
3.Go to transfer

4.Select the user and enter the amount that you want to transfer
5.Add a memo if you need a clarification
6.Then select next

7.After the confirmation of transferring details select ok

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

1.Log in to your wallet
2.Select steem and go to power up

3.Enter the amount that decided to power up
4.Click on power-up

5.Add a memo if you need and click on ok
