Achievement 2 @sher11 Task : Basic Security on Steem

Hi there Everyone,
I’ll be explaining basic security in this post as best as I can and as part of my achievement 2 task. Hope i give you guys a detailed explanation you guys can make good use of.

Question 1 ; Have You Retrieved All Keys on Steemit?
All my keys were retrieved after registration and safely secured.

Question 2 ; Do You Know Each of these Key Functions and Restrictions?
I am acutely aware of the various key functions and their restrictions.

Private Posting Key allows users to post, comment, upvote or resteem contents or articles or posts. Using it excessively is likely to cause the key to be compromised as far as security is concerned especially since it is used to log into steemit accounts by most users

Active Key allows users to place market orders, vote for witnesses, power up or down transactions and transfer funds.

Owner Key is the most important key which helps to recover a compromised account and is only used when absolutely necessary. It is so important because it can be used to change any key.

Memo Key is used to encrypt or decrypt memos when transferring funds. The pound sign is used before a memo which is intended to be encrypted by a user

Master Password is used to generate other keys including the owner the key

Question 3 ; How Do You Plan to Keep Your Master Password?
My master password has been safely stored in an external flash drive, a hard drive and printed on paper as well for extra security. The paper has been safely secured in a safe.

Question 4 ; Do You Know How to Transfer Your Steem Token to another User Account?
Transferring Steem token to another account begins with you clicking the wallet and then clicking on “Steemit” or the drop down arrow beside it. Select Transfer when a pop up box appears and enter the amount and the name of the account to which the amount will be transferred with the option of adding a memo

Question 5 ; Do You Know how to Power Up Your STEEM?
Powering up STEEM also begins after the wallet has been clicked. Steemit is selected and Power Up is chosen from the pop up that appears. The number of tokens desired for the power up activity is entered in the section provided for powering up!

That does it for my basic security knowledge which has been pretty helpful in making me safeguard my keys and have a thorough understanding of the various sections of my wallet. Looking forward to putting all these knowledge to good use!!!
