About Achievement 3 So Let's Start

Plagiarism

Plagiarism occurs when everyone takes credit for the work of someone else. Plagiarism can take the shape of data, images, movies, or a number of other media, and no attempt should be made to credit the original artists. Plagiarism's purpose is to make it appear as if the plagiarist wrote the work themselves.

Types of Plagiarism:

  • Self-plagiarism
  • Direct Plagiarism
  • Mosaic Plagiarism
  • Accidental plagiarism

Self-Plagiarism:

When a student reuses his or her own work without the permission of the professor, this is known as self-plagiarism. where you can post your previous work in its entirety or in sections Plagiarism is plagiarism, regardless of how you look at it, and it's just as harmful.

Direct Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is defined as the act of copying someone else's work without adding any changes or additions. It's also against the law because it's essentially the same as stealing.

Mosaic Plagiarism:

In the Mosaic style, it's a form of plagiarism. When a student borrows terminology from a source without quoting it or finds synonyms for the author's language while keeping the original's general structure and content, this is known as mosaic plagiarism.

Accidental Plagiarism:

As the phrase implies, it occurs when you make the mistake of omitting to cite your source. It is likewise illegal, despite the fact that it is inadvertent.

How to avoid plagiarism?

Reference

Starting by avoiding plagiarism is a great place to start.

  • If you have a good vocabulary, you should be able to write everything in your own words and draw everything yourself.
  • Always create original content to increase the effectiveness of these measures and protect them against copyright lawsuits.

What Is a Source Citation .

It is insufficient to simply state, "The text source is Wikipedia." It's required to include a link to the exact Wikipedia page from which the item was derived. It's a good idea to include the source after each notion if you used several sources.

How Do I Cite It?

Every copied and pasted sentence should be surrounded by quote marks “” or organised using the > syntax. A citation as close to the original source as possible should be included with each paraphrased paragraph, sentence, or concept.

A citation example

According to one source, "researchers have long known about the potential for apple eating to maintain balanced populations of bacteria in our lower digestive system."

"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"

Thank you for your time 😍
