Good afternoon to all steemians, by the special of God today will be the completion achievement 3 task and i will be discussing about PLAGIARISM as it has to do with our blogging and content creation in steemit.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
Plagiarism is one of the major problem, primarily between writers and bloggers.
Plagiarism means to extract and pass off an ideas of another as one's to use another's production with or without the concent of the original writer nor producer.
MORE EXPLANATION ABOUT PARAGRAPH.
90% of people have the mindset that plagiarism is stealing someone else's cretivity but its also high-jacking someone else's ideas. In other words even if you paraphrase a text,the ideas needs to be cited.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism has various forms.
reusing an entire document and rewritting or editing a single paragraph or sentence. Finally all types of plagiarism comes down to passing off someone's creatives or words as your own.
COPY AND PASTE PLAGIARISM
This is where an individual extracts someone's content to his own side as the origin of the content.
If you must copy it is very nessasery that you mention the source or make references of it.
SELF PLAGIARISM
This when you use your own previous work like any literature write up of and your own and now, ypu want to repeat it and you fail to quote it well as the owner "THIS IS CALLED SELF PLAGIARISM".
GLOBAL PLAGIARISM.
This is when you make use of someone paper write up and you pretend to be the original owner, it could be a friends write up or ideas.
Maybe buying someone's essay mill.
CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM IN STEEMIT
● You will be charged with copyright infringement.
● You will lose your vote and reputations
● You will also loss your trust
● You will be down voted.
HOW TO AVOID
PLAGIARISM
● Quote,paraphrase or summarize the words of someone else.
● Make reference to the original source by including a citation in the text and reference list.
CONCLUSION
● Make sure to include and IN-TEXT CITATION everytime you use words,ideas from a source.
● Every source you cite shall be included in the REFERENCE LIST.
● Always follow the rules of CITATION STYLE.
● Do not commit SELF PLAGIARISM by using parts of a previous post.
