Hello everyone. I am Samarth gupta. Hope you are all good and doing great work. As, I have already posted my Achievements 1 and 2 in the steemit community and so now I am posting my Achievement 3.

In the steemit community there are a number of crimes which are increasing day by day. The steemit platform seeks to award users on creativity and proof of brain, it is always advised that we must not take the help of plagiarism but as much as possible provide contents of our own.

What is Plagiarism?

Actually the plagiarism is simply defined as using the work of any other individual without taking his/her permission. Without permission if we use the work of any other person then it is considered as theft and without acknowledgement is trying to tell readers you own the work. Plagiarism can also be called content theft.

Plagiarism is theft and as such a copyright offence and it is like stealing somethings. The work of any other person is protected by copyrighted sources and anyone does not have any right to steal it.

It is against the law and order. Be clear, the use of someone's work without credit or acknowledgement is publishing someone else's idea or writing be it a whole paragraph, a book or just a sentence without citing the original creator as source.

What Are The Types Of Plagiarism?

There areda number of plagiarisms that are done in the society. The types of plagiarism I will talk about are listed below:

● Complete plagiarism: This plagiarism occurs when anyone submits an already published work as his/her own. In this type, the only editing you make to the original work is the substitution of name of author with your name.

● Direct plagiarism: Direct plagiarism includes copying a section of someone work without using quotation marks to mean that the text is copied word for word.

● Source-based plagiarism: This is done when there are preparation of reports in which the person just write the and them add the random references to the post.

● Self plagiarism: This kind of plagiarism deals with using parts mostly significant parts of your own work for a new work. Some people are of the view that this is not plagiarism, as it is already your idea however this act of re-using your own work .

● Accidental Plagiarism: A plagiarism which occurs when someone is not aware of the post he is posting is already posted . This can happen amongst the students when research is based from the same source.

How To Avoid Plagiarism. Giving proper cites to sources. Example of citing here on steemit is;

While the conventional search engines ranked results by counting the searched terms appeared how many times, they theorized about a better system that analyzed the relationships among websites. They referred this as algorithm PageRank. It determined relevance of a website by the number of pages, and the importance of those pages that linked back to the original site.

Some points to avoid plagiarism are as follows:

  • avoid using of paraphrasing tools.

  • use plagiarism checkers

  • Try to use the quotation marks.

  • understand the full content before writing about it.

Citation Method:

The “bleeding-heart” flower, actually called Dicentra, is one of the most striking flowers in the world. In spite of being unique and amazing, it’s relatively unknown.
