What is Markdown?
Markdown is a plain text formatting syntax. Markdown helps us easy to read and write plain text format and convert it to a valid HTML. It helps us to style text on the web. We can do formatting such as bold or italic or we can add images, and can create lists, etc. It involves the use of few non-alphabetic characters such as *, #, ~, etc.

MAKING TEXT BOLD

To make text bold we should add two asterisks or underscore before and after a word or a sentence

Example:
I love baseball.
Welcome to steemit.

MAKING TEXT ITALIC
To make text italic we should add one asterisk or underscore before and after a word or a sentence

Example:
We should keep working hard.
I should read alot .

CREATING HEADING
For creating a Heading we should add number signs(#) in front of a word or sentence. The number of number sign we use is equivalent to heading level.

Example:

Heading1

Heading 2

Heading 3

BOLD AND ITALIC AT THE SAME TIME
To make text bold and italic at the same time we should add three asterisks or underscore before and after a word or a sentence

Example:
Lion is the king of jungle
Earth is a unique planet

CREATING TABLES

For creating tables we should assemble list of words and for first row divide them with hyphens - and then separate each column with a pipe|.

Example:

Desktop	Laptop
They are relatively cheap	They are expensive
They are large in size	They are compact in size
They use more power	They use less power

ADDING A LINK

Foe creating a link we should enclose the link text in brackets and and then follow it immediately with URL in bracket.
Example: ((https://www.amazon.in/))
