achievement-1 - my introduction post

Hey guys, I hope you doing great. this is my achievement-1 post to introduce myself to the Steemit platform.

So, I'm Sachin ( @sachin-suresh ), everyone calls me that but my full name is Sachin Suresh Bandaranayaka. My name sounds Indian but I'm not I'm Sri Lankan, yeah I'm from Sri Lanka. It's a cute little island right below India. It's hard to find it on the map but trust me it is there. My country is a great travel destination but now we faced a massive economic crisis but hey it's still fun to live in this amazing country.

So, about myself, I'm 21 but I'll be 22 soon on Aug 4. You guessed it right my birthday is 2001/08/4 and I'm still living with my parents, Hey nobody says nothing, it's the way we work in Asia. when it comes to my family I have my mom and my dad and I have a sister who is 4 years older than me, to be honest, she can be a real headache sometimes but I still love her hopefully, she does the same for me.

I am a 2nd-year undergraduate student, oh yeah I'm studying at a reputed university here in Sri Lanka. It's called NSBM Green University and my degree is BSc Hons in Software Engineering, for your knowledge I'm a bit of a geek sometimes not always but when it comes to technical stuff I love to be a geek. I think it's my passion. That's the main reason I'm lazy as hell. That's why I told my parents to buy me a computer and somehow they did, it was a huge cathode-ray display old crappy computer with Windows XP. I played ping pong and drew crappy art with windows paint for months and after that, I got a real PC and I studied everything I found on the internet till today.

I learned about Bitcoin around 2017 or 2018 I don't exactly remember the dates but there were so many articles and youtube videos at that time about how to make millions from investing in Bitcoins and how to mine them. I always wanted to earn money so I did my own research and found a course from @gappiyaschool this man, he is awesome. He gave me almost 70% discount for his cryptocurrency course, it was a very detailed course and that's how I found out about the Steemit platform, later I took another course from www.udemy.com. I learned about cryptocurrency investing, mining, blockchain, and a lot more.

back to me, I wanted to talk about my hobbies and stuff. As I told you guys earlier I'm really lazy and I suck at sports, I wanted to play cricket in school but I failed. So, ever since I found a new way to enjoy my time or according to my mom to waste time. I played video games a lot I mean a lot but not now I'm mature now. Now I listen to audiobooks and stuff when I got any free time because it helps me to improve myself. I love self-help books and finance books and also I watch movies and tv series. these days my favorite tv series is "Friends", it's a sitcom, I love that series.

other than my hobbies I enjoy working with people too, I am an organizer of my school's annual cricket big match and a member of the FOSS club at my University and I love traveling with my friends and actually, I do travel with my friends like once a month we go somewhere and drink, eat and enjoy our time while chatting about us. when it comes to what kind of social work I'm doing other than these things, well, I don't have soo much on my plate because I'm kind of an introverted person but I do somehow teach kids the English language in my village. It's a small village with lots of underprivileged kids who can't afford tuition, one day one a child came to me and ask that can I help with his homework and I said yes, and after that lots of children came to our home and I'm very proud and happy to say that I'm a good teacher. I don't have any photos to prove it because I don't like to publish these things but I want to say that it gives me self-satisfaction.

And to end this introduction I want to talk about my expertise and what type of post that I can write. To be honest, I'm not an expert in any field but I told you I'm kind of a geek, So I think I can write posts about tech, and food because I love food and I also can cook, also I can write about photography and health. Those are the field I love most, oh I forgot I love finance stuff too.
