What is plagiarism?

From the legal point of view it is an infringement of copyright on an artistic or intellectual work of any kind, which is incurred when a work of others is presented as its own or original.

Thus, a person commits plagiarism if he copies or imitates something that does not belong to him, and pretends to be its author, with or without his authorization. In the case of written documents, for example, this crime is typified when an idea, text, image or design of another author is included, without expressly announcing it, without using quotation marks (or equivalent indentation and different typography) and without citing the original source or author.

Why plagiarism is unprofessional

  • Because stealing is not professional. It is stealing someone else's intellect by thinking that someone's idea and words are yours.

  • Because it is not professional, the thief makes a profit by stealing other people's things.

steps to Dodge or evade plagiarism

  • Always think for yourself. Do not steal from others. Do only what you understand.

  • Make a quote from your mind about your idea. Do a theft test before presenting something.

  • We have no advantage in stealing something from someone. So work on your own ideas and your own hard work.

  • An easy way to help you avoid plagiarism is to give yourself enough time when writing a paper. It is easy to miss something when you are rushed. Having sufficient time to do your research and pay attention to your content is going to put you miles ahead. When we are under pressure we stand a bigger chance of making unnecessary mistakes.source

  • It is one thing to cite your sources, but that won’t mean much if you don’t do it correctly. Make sure you know what the standards are for the paper you are working on and apply it accurately. You might be trying to do the right thing and still get it wrong.source

Why should we cite our sources?

We must do it to produce original content, true or it can also be said legal since if we copy from another side it is false and that would be called plagiarism Just as I did here below that it uses a source.
