Plagiarism means that using other's work or ideas as own content with or without permission. If you incorporate someone else's work into your work without their acknowledgment then it'll be considered Plagiarism. Plagiarism is not specific. If you take anyone's creation without giving him credit then it’s also plagiarism. It may beintentional, unintentional, or anything else. So we should try to avoid it strictly.

⚜️Forms of plagiarism

🔴Self-plagiarism

It means that if anybody submit their own previous work or mix parts of previous works without permission from their Instructor. Self-plagiarism also means that If a student submits the same assignments in different classes without previous permission from the professors. It is also unethical.

🔴Direct plagiarism

It means that if anyone transcript word by word of a section of anyone else’s content, without any attribution or quotations. This plagiarism is dishonest, unethical, grounds for disciplinary actions, including expulsion.

🔴Verbatim plagiarism

When one submits someone else's words verbatim in his/her own name without even acknowledging him publically. Copy and paste from a published article without referencing is a common form of verbatim plagiarism. Most commonly, it is seen in the introduction and discussion part of the manuscript.

🔴Paraphrasing

If one rewrites any part/paragraph of the manuscript in his/her own words it is called paraphrasing. Paraphrasing is a restatement in your own words, of someone else's ideas. Changing a few words of the original sentences does not make it your writing.

🔴Mosaic Plagiarism

Mosaic Plagiarism means that if a person borrows a group of work from a source without using quotation marks and finds synonyms for the main work and maintain the original meaning and structure. It is also punishable & academically dishonest.

🔴Accidental Plagiarism

Accidental plagiarism means that without attribution if a person ignores to cite the sources & misquotes the sources. Everybody should learn how to cite their sources and to be careful when doing research. Don't think that accidental plagiarism is unessential. It is as serious as any other plagiarism. It is also unethical & punishable.
