Achievement 3 Task Content Etiquette by @raninya
Hello once again community, today I will discuss in this post about the content protocols of the platform and what plagiarism is.
Concept of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school or work, substantial fines and even incarceration.source
Plagiarism is just that, taking other people's ideas and passing them off as their own, stealing their creativity. Plagiarism covers all types of content:
Imagery
Text
Audio
Video
Thoughts
In Steemit Plagiarismis not accepted, since it is a platform where users work creating their own and innovative content, contributing their knowledge and ideas, helping in the solution of the problem and the improvement of the platform itself.
By committing plagiarism on the platform you make everything this ecosystem of self-sustaining and improvement fall, you stop contributing to the platform and its users, you go to only absorb and not give, which creates a harmful cycle.
In addition, the fact itself is wrong, since you steal beyond the ideas of another person, you steal their effort, time and knowledge invested in developing something new and creative, thus greatly affecting that person who loses the recognition he deserves for his creation.
Types of Plagiarism
These are the most common types of plagiarism that are seen to be avoided.
Cloning: It is the copy of all the original content of a person who pretends to be his own.
Mosaic: It is the union of the content of different people that comes together to make it look like a different one.
Copy and paste: It is very similar to cloning but this is directed more to large text. Amounts.
Remix: It is the paraphrasing of the original idea, but still expressing the same content.
Search and replacement: It is the change of words in the content of another person to make it look different.
AVOID PLAGIARISM
The most important thing beyond not using the content of other people is to know how to recognize you, and denote that said content is someone else's, how to do it?
Always leave the Link or name of the author
Use form of editing or signs such as quotation marks, to indicate that the content is a quote from another author
Be creative and try to create your own ideas, so you avoid the need to use content from others
