Hi guys! It has been about four day since I joined steemit. Step by step I have learned many things from steemit and many things about steemit. Today I am going to post my 4^th achievement. It is about markdown skills. I hope you guys will enjoy it.😌

For you don't know about cricket, it is a bat and ball game. As a citizen in a South Asian country, we are very passionate about cricket. As a Sri Lankan, it is hard not to be a cricket fan.😋

Some believes that cricket originated as a children's game in England. Evidence shows that cricket has came from 16^th century. It is a game in 'club ball'. Other club ball games are golf, baseball, hockey, tennis, table tennis, badminton and squash. But there is a main difference between cricket and other club ball games. In cricket, the person who has the bat (batsman) must defend his wicket. Wicket is a three stump structure.

The one possible Old-English word for cricket game is 'cryce'. Earlier cricket is way different than now. Earlier, bowler can bowl under-arm or along the pitch. Now they can't bowl like that. There was no techniques for batsman to hit the ball and scored by batsman is called as 'notches'. Because the scorer recorded those scores by notching tally sticks.

There are eleven players for a team. Two teams are playing in a single game. But recently there is a three teams format.🤔 No games are played that way so far.🙄 But South Africa is planning to enter to that format. There is only eight players in three-team format. During a game there are basically two main umpires in on-field and two umpires in off-field(Third or tv umpire and fourth umpire). There are three formats in cricket (without three-teams format).

1. Test matches - playing for five days. Each team has two innings to bat and bowl. For a day there are 90 overs to play. But sometimes those overs are going to be limited because of bad light and rain. One over is contains with six legal deliveries from one end other end. After every over bowling end is going to change. There are extra scores give for batsmen if bowler cross the bowling line or delivering the ball over the batsman's hips without pitching the ball or delivering the ball over the batsman's shoulder more than 2 times (No ball) , delivering the ball to leg side or delivering the ball over the batsman's head and (wide ball), and leg bye. Those rules are common to all three formats. But 90 overs per day is only in test cricket.

2. One day international - commonly referring to as ODI matches. Each team has 50 overs to bat and 50 overs to bowl.

3. T20 matches - Each team has 20 overa to bowl and 20 overs to bat.

International cricket council is the responsible authority for world's cricket.

Before starting the game, each team's captain must come to the ground and toss a coin to choose which side is going to bowl and which side is going to bat. After that batting side is starting score. Bowl side is trying to their wickets. There are several ways to get a wicket. Clean bowled, catches, run outs, stumping, hit wickets, and mankading. Bowling side should try to limits batting side's score. In the second inning, bowling side coming to bat and they should pass the first batting side's score. Now bowling side should defend their earlier score by taking wickets. If the batting side passes the first inning's score, they are the winner. If they couldn't, bowling side of the second inning is going to be the winner.
