WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

To start with, plagiarism is act of taking some parts or entire of someone's work such as art, piece of writing , quotes etc. and using them as your personal work without giving acknowledgement to the first authors of those materials. In other words, using works of others in your write-up without indication the sources you got it from. Generally, people plagiarize to take credit for the work and others plagiarize to earn money from the works of others.

FORMS OF PLAGIARISM

There are different forms of plagiarism . The subsequent paragraphs are vivid explainations of what are regarded as plagiarism.

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: The mosaic plagiarism is a form plagiarism where by various forms of information are copied from different sources without making reference to the original source of those information.

GLOBAL PLAGIARISM: In this form of plagiarism, it means talking wholly the entire work of another author and representing it as your personal work. It is more like impersonation .

SELF-PLAGIARISM : Self-plagiarism refers to the act of reproducing of ideas, paragraphs etc. of previous work to submit in another different work . In most cases ,people don't regard it as plagiarism because , it from the same person but nevertheless it's a form of plagiarism.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM : It refers to copying the work of another person in a word to word manner without making use of quotation marks and passing it as your own work. This form of plagiarism is more like complete plagiarism but the difference is that, it refers to parts( not really the whole documents).

Plagiarism cut across in many Fields. Plagiarism is not apply to only written documents . There is plagiarism of pictures, videos, music, recording etc. The use of images , recordings, music, videos .

    CONCLUSION

I would like to conclude my article by saying plagiarism is a crime and we must try our possible best to distance ourselves from it. It is important we cite the sources of anything we use in our works which is not originally ours .

I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
