Hello to everyone here in Steemit.I am glad to see you.I wish to write my Achievement 3 post on Plagiarism.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as copying or using another person's work.It also invloves copying some part of another person's work without referencing the original author.Plagiarism can be called academic theft.It goes against the copyright of the original owner of the work.

Here on Steemit, Plagiarism highly prophabited .Users on Steemit are expected to produce original contents.

Types of Plagiarism

•Mosaic Plagiarism:
It a process where a user is copying from different authors and combining to form his own work.For instance if a user gets a definition from various authors add it up and pretend to the legitimate owner without referencing or acknowledging the original authors.

•Copy and Paste:
This act can also be called a verbatim Plagiarism. this is the condition where someone copies the whole work of another person, then goes ahead to produce it acting like he/she is the real owner or the main author.

•Self Plagiarism:
Self plagiarism is recopying your personal old work and representing it as a new work entirely.It is called plagiarism cause oneself is been plagiarized.

How to Avoid Plagiarism

To avoid Plagiarism. user will enable to provide reference to the place he got some the information used for the writing.

The user can also use quotations to indicate a quote which was got from another place.

Try to Always use Plagiarism checker application to authenticate/ scan your work before posting it.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Here on Steemit Plagiarism is highly prohibited.

•part of the consequence of Plagiarism is that any user found quilty would be banned from posting in that particular Community.

•Plagiarism will cause downvoting of a post by steemcurator.

Plagiarism will also reduce or make a user lose his / her reputation on steemit.

In summary,I hope and believe that I have been able to fulfill the requirements for Achievement 3 in Newcomers Community.
