Achievement 2 Task by @pratikjumle29 : Basic Security on Steem

Hope You All Are Doing Well.

Hellow and good morning everyone on steemit! I hope you are all doing well. Today I am going to proceed with my next achievement after being verified on the first achievement by our steem coordinator by and guide @sachin08.

Below Is the highlights of what I understood through this achievement 2 on concept of security of account and keys.

BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT

WHAT IS SECURITY?

Ans: We can simply define security as protection or guard of valuable passwords , keys,secrets and things etc. against danger,exposure , theft or being lost.

In steemit, we have different types of securities (keys) that helps the users in protecting their valuables things in the steemit and also keeps the account secure.

This various keys are :

Posting key
Active key
Owner key
Memo key

Following are the functions and information of this keys explained :

POSTING KEY

This key is used in publishing a post or comment,to also edit a post or comment, to upvote or downvote, to resteem content(re_sharing of post),and to follow other users on Steemit.

ACTIVE KEY

This valuable key is used in Transferring tokens,Power STEEM up or down,Voting for witnesses, Placing order on an exchange,also profile changing,in publishing a Witness price feed and to Create a new user id.

OWNER KEY

This is another valuable key. This Owner Key is used in Resetting Owner, Active, and Posting keys, to Recover all your account, and also used in Declining the voting rights.

MEMO KEY

Memo key is used in sending an encrypted messagese (secured informations) and in viewing an encrypted message.

MASTER KEY

As we can see from it's name it's the most important key. It's the overall key, it is the most important key and the first key being given to the users to derive all the keys (mentioned above) for their account. Just as the key implies master key, it controls the whole account in Steemit.

How I saved my Steemit keys safe:

After signing up on Steemit, I downloaded the PDF containing my STEEMIT KEYS, I backed it up using Google drive and also wrote a copy of it and kept it in a safe place so I can secure my account from strangers and hackers.

Following are the answers of questions which are asked for completion of my achievement 2:

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys from steemit?
Ans : Yes . I already have taken a backup of it in google drive and a hard drive in the format of PDF and also wrote it on a notebook page and kept it safe.

Question 2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Ans: Yes. I know the various functions of each keys and their restrictions too as I mentioned earlier in this post

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password ?
Ans: This key is the most important key among all other keys. This key has the most important as I wrote above in the explanation. I have taken a backup of this key in google drive in pdf format and also in hard drive very safe and secure. I also wrote this key on a page at kept it in a safe place.

Question 4: Do you know how we transfer our steem token to another steem token account?
Ans: Yes I learnt how to transfer our steem tokens to another steem token account.
This is the procedure as I explained below with proper screen shots:

First click on top right side on your account. and go to your wallet.

Then click on the figure under steem, which shows how many steem tokens are present in the account.

After clicking on it a list of options appears then click on the transfer

After clicking on it a box will appear as shown below and then type the name of username you are transferring to. For this, You will be required to use a key to confirm and transaction, and that will be your activation key.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your steem?
Ans : Yes I know it very well . And this is the procedure for it:

First open your wallet section then click on your steem.

After this click on the power up

After clicking A box will appear then input the amount of steam that you want to power up. Then click on the powerup option and your steem will power up.

And Boom You'r Done!
