Achievement 2: Basic steemit security on the platform

After my achievement 1 was completed and verified I was advised to proceed to achievement 2 that is about the basic security on steem.

Question 1

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

    Answer 

Yeah, I made sure that I downloaded my keys and I also save it in my gmail as draft so that it can be easily accessible by me

Question 2

Do you know of these key functions and restrictions?

      Answer

My Answer
Yea, after, few weeks of going through the study of @cryptokannon article, I gain knowledge about the different keys and it functions.

• posting key
• memo key
• active key
• owner key

Posting key
We make use of this key in logging in to our steemit account and also to login to our steemit wallet account, we also use in vote, comment purposes etc

Memo key
We use this to decrypt and also to ecrypt and complete transaction on the steemit platform

Active key
We use this key to do things like transfering of steem and sbd and also to complete powering up, powering down process.

Owner key
This type of keys are keys used in changing other keys, if the keys has been hacked or not available again.

Master key
This is the master of all key, it was through this key that I was able to download my pdf.

How do you keep your master password

        Answer

I keep it by saving it has draft in my gmail and by this I can access it anywhere I go because am always with my phone.

What do I do if my password/keys gets missing?

          Answer 

I will keep my keys safe to avoid it from missing or getting hacked by writing it down and keeping it in a place known to me and me alone also no liquid there.

QUESTION 5

Do I know how to transfer my steem token to another steem user account?

         Answer

First of all, login your steemitwallet through the username and private keys

Secondly, click on transfer

Thirdly, you fill the account username you wish to transfer to and the amount after that you press next

After that you put, your private, after that it will be transferred

Question 6

Do you know how to power up

         Answer

Yes, with the following steps.
Step 1
Login to steemitwallet with username and posting key

Step 2
You will click on the power up

Here, you will put the amount of steem you wish to power up

Put your password(active key)

I am very happy to have completed this tasks which is my achievement 2 and I have now know more about the steemit security.
