Plagiarism is common act but very severe when it comes to blogging.

What is Plagiarism?

It is the act of copying one's work and passing it off as your own. It can also be taking another authors language and idea and making it originally as your own.

Haven't studied plagiarism during my journalism studies in school, and my time as being a steemian, I have come to have a wider understanding of what it is all about.

And that is why with every plagiarize content, there are sanctions that follows fit.

Sanctions
Suspensions
And even expulsion.

So every steemian must try to avoid acts of plagiarism

Some types of plagiarism to avoid are

1. Direct Plagiarism
   Copying another person's text word for word without citing, or using quotation marks .

2. self Plagiarism
   It can also be known as duplicating.
   It happens when one reuses some portions of his or her work previously published.

3. paraphrasing plagiarism
   It is common, it involves using someone's writing by changing some few words .

Some common ways to avoid plagiarism is by ;

-always provide citations of content copied from different sources for example you can quote name of the author or date of publication of the article in addition you can provide a link for the article

• Do proper research and read properly, be creative to avoided plagiarism.

Haven't read the article on content etiquette guide on steemit, i came to understand other rules that govern the STEEMIT community.

Other etiquettes to follow on steemit

• it will look plain if you can't vote and comment on other people's work, it will be like you are benefiting from others but can't give back.

• Do not re Steem too often

It can also be the same like posting constantly. Do not resteem every post you see .

• Reply your comments
  If people make out time to make comments or reply to your post, you should at least try to reply to their comments.

In order to succeed in the STEEMIT community plagiarism must be avoided , and creativity should be the first priority.
