Hello steemians, after completing other achievement tasks, I have gone ahead to make my achievement 6 post.
Voting and curation
Steemit has something called a price pool. The price pool is where every Steem is collected. One thing about the price pool is that when one Steemit user votes another steemit user, it his assumed that the steem is transferred to the voted user from this price pool.
The greater the steem power in your wallet, the greater the rewards you can share. Users do not get the same amount of voting power from the price pool. Your valuable votes increase as your Steem power increases.
What is Voting Mana
Users can check their mana on steemd.com and on steemworld.org after voting. Voting mana decreases with each use. The lower it gets, the less rewarding the posts you like. Every user on Steemit has voting mana. 2% of your remaining voting mana is used for every 100% vote you cast. Similarly, 1% of your mana is used for every 50% vote casted.
The 3 manas in the steemd tool are: Voting Power, Downvote Power, Resource Credits.
What happens if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?
Voting a post during the first five minutes means you would lose a certain percentage of the curation reward.
If a post is upvoted the moment of posting, 100% of the curation reward will remain in the rewards pool.
At 1 minute, the curator receives 20%
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%
At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%
The remaining reward percentage at each time interval returns to the reward pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.
