Types of plagiarism.
There are various types of plagiarism and they are all violations of academic integrity. These includes the following:
Mosaic Plagiarism
Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original. Sometimes called “patch writing,” this kind of paraphrasing, whether intentional or not, is academically dishonest and punishable.
Accidental Plagiarism
Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, or misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution
Direct Plagiarism
Direct plagiarism is the word-for-word transcription of a section of someone else’s work, without attribution and without quotation marks.

How to do away with plagiarism.
- Make use of a plagiarism checker before submission.
- Make credits of the original author.
- Add your own ideas.
Avoiding plagiarism is good. It is of great value to properly concede to the contributions and information made by other people. It shows respect for their work, most importantly, you are giving credit where credit is due. You are not deceiving the person who reads it to falsely believe that the work is yours.
I sincerely appreciate that I understand the etiquette on the steemit platform and I will do my best to hold onto it.
