Greetings fellow steemians, sure you all are doing awesome. I’ll be sharing on Basic security on steemit
Security is very important in every aspect of life. The importance cannot be over emphasized on steemit. I hope you will enjoy the task as you read throug

When I successfully created my steem account, I login and my keys were generated.

There are; posting key, active key, owner key and master password. Added to these are Tron public and private keys as well as pubic keys

Summarily;

Posting key is for everyday logins such as post, comment, edit, vote, esteem, follow or mute other accounts.

Active key is more likely for sensitive tasks such as for transfer of funds, power up/down, convertverying steel dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatar as well as placing a market order.

Owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account including the owner key

Memo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds. The pound sign# is used before in order to encrypt. Currently, the memo key is not used

The masters password is used to generate all other keys including the owner key. The only reason to ever use this is for account recovery

     Taking into consideration how important the master password is,  I  have saved in it to my Gmail account,  my Drive and I have a printed copy well kept with my valued documents 

       To transfer steem token to another user, the active key or master password is used. Here's the procedure,

From your wallet page, click the STEEM or Steem Dollar balances with the down arrow next to them.

In the drop-down menu, click 'Transfer'.
Type the username of the account you want to send the STEEM or Steem Dollars to. Double and triple check the spelling.
Enter the amount of STEEM or Steem Dollars to send.
Enter a memo to go along with the transaction (optional).
Click Submit.
You will be prompted for your password. You will need to enter your master password or active key.

   To power up, the first thing to do is to get into the steemit wallet, then click on the drop down box and scroll down and choose "power up".

Next the screen will ask how much of liquid steem you want to power up. Choose and press the power up button. In a couple of seconds, it will show your steem power has increased
