Hello everyone, This is @mubashrafarooqi here again with my Achievement 3 task which is about Content Etiquette. Hope every one is doing great. Lets talk about Content Etiquette that are necessary to make your writing plagiarism free and with a great presentation.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a Latin word that means to steal the words or ideas of others and presenting that as your own.
Copying the work of others and uses as our own words without giving credit and is a form of intellectual theft.

Example:

Most of the universities students or in collages copy the data from different websites and uses it to explain their topics, and they don’t change words and not uses quotation marks then it will be considered as plagiarism.

People do plagiarism due to lack of confidence or they don’t have enough concepts about that topic or they are lazy or they rich and buy work someone else or they want to attain fame or they don’t resort to it.
Students do plagiarism in fear that universities may fail them due to low grades or lack of concepts or to increase their knowledge or to get good grades.

Types of plagiarism?

There are many types of plagiarism but the most important from them are as the following:

Secondary source plagiarism

Most of the time in attempting the papers we use information from secondary sources like newspapers, other helping books, etc. Then this is called secondary source plagiarism.

Accidental plagiarism

If you are writing so many research papers accidentally you plagiarize other work then this is called accidental plagiarism.

Hired plagiarism

If you are writing an essay and you don’t have enough concepts about that topic then you will be paying someone else to write that essay this is hired plagiarism.

Direct plagiarism
In this plagiarism copying, someone else works word by word and claiming as their own is called a direct plagiarism.

Bibliography plagiarism

If you write a paper that is unique and has from different thesis then this is said to be a Bibliography plagiarism

Aggregated plagiarism

If your paper explains words that have the same meaning as someone else work then this is aggregated plagiarism.

How to avoid plagiarism writing content?

Present your ideas

To avoid plagiarism explain your thesis in your own words and reuse your sources of research and explain unique ideas. Everything should be in your own words in this way we can avoid plagiarism.

Use plagiarism checker tool

There are many online plagiarism checker tools like Grammarly and Small SEO, Copyscape, world essays plagiarism checker and many more these tools explain that your writing content is plagiarized or not.

Use Quotations
Using quotations marks around the text to denote that the words are your own to avoid from plagiarism.

Paraphrase
Try to avoid using too similar words or paraphrase from sources to avoid plagiarism use unique words and uses your concepts.

Cite your source
To avoid plagiarism adding a citation in your thesis that identifies the full name of the source like publish date.

Read more than one source

If you limit yourself in one research a danger of plagiarism takes place to use more sources to avoid plagiarism.
Not using links of other's blogs, Not copy and paste the content of someone else blogs or articles.

Conclusion

If you're a content writer or even a student plagiarism is not be tolerated in any platforms. So, it is very unethical to use other people content in your publications. We should use our own ideas and vocabulary to produce any content. Also, we can minimize the plagiarism by sourcing the authors work by pasting links or references.
