Welcome to my achievement 3 post, I hope you all are fine. Today I am writing on Content Etiquette to complete my achievement 3. In this post, I am basically trying to clear all the concepts of plagiarism

Q. What is Plagiarism?

As shown in the above image Plagiarism is stolen someone's idea or content without their permission and publish that content as their own content to get some extra rewards. But you are never rewarded for plagiarized content. On steemit platform, plagiarized content is not rewarded and also you will get downvotes if plagiarism is found on your content.

“Plagiarism: An act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author’s work as one’s own […].” -dictionary.com

There are some types of plagiarism that exist in blogging. I explain the types of plagiarism as follows.

1 . Complete plagiarism

It means you copied other posts as it is and reposts the post showing as this is your content. It is highly not acceptable because someone spends hours for that post or content and you simply copy and showing as it is yours than it was a huge loss for the hard workers. But thanks to the moderator and plagiarism checker tool which helps to trace such plagiarism.

2 . Partial plagiarism

Some time you copy other page content or phase without mentioning them in the source or not giving any credits to them will be part of partial plagiarism.

Q. How to avoid Plagiarism?

1. Create your own content and always write posts in your words. This will make your post a unique post.

2. If you add phrases and content from some other source please give them credits and mentioned them as sources.

3. Always use the plagiarism checker tool before posting the content. This will help you to avoid plagiarism in your post.

4. Try to read more about the topic from various sources before posting on that topic.

5. If you like another author's post then get an idea from that post and try to write that post in your word.

Regarding Plagiarism, I was already aware but doing this task helped me gain a good amount of knowledge to avoid Plagiarism, We all can be creative minds just we need to stop/avoid Plagiarism, make sure we all follow the content etiquette.

I have gone through all the documents and posts related to Plagiarism and understood the Steemit Etiquette.
