Achievement 2 task: Basic security on steem by @mm-writes mentored by@cryptokannon

Good morning to all the steemians in the house. Am very happy to have learnt so much about achievement 2 post and today I will be making a demonstration of my knowledge by making a post on security and I will be attempting the following questions that would follow suit but before then, I would like to explain what security entails in simple language.

Security in simple words is doing dilligence in other to keep ones steemit account secured. Security in steemit means taking up all diligence to keep ones steemit account safe and free from harm. This is very important to keep ones account safe and free from hackers.

The steem Blockchain is a Decentralised system thereby making every user accountable for his own account and wallet and this makes it every steemian responsibility to preserve his keys as any harm is detrimental to the user solely.

There are various keys given to every user to keep the steemit block chain system secured and safe from hackers, such keys include:

1). The active keys
2). Private owner keys
3). posting keys
4). Memo keys
5). Master password etc

STEEMIT SECURITY KEYS AND FUNCTIONS
THE ACTIVE KEY
This key is basically used for transactions such as transferring tokens or powering STEEM up and down.

PRIVATE OWNER KEY
This key is used to reset other keys If your account is lost, you can use this key to recover it within 30 days.

PRIVATE POSTING KEY
The user is armed with that key to carry out activities such as posting, and voting on other users post.

MEMO KEY
This particular key is used to encrypt and decrypt private transfer memos.

Question 1
Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Ans: yes, I have.

Question 2
Do you Know each of these keys functions and restrictions?
Ans: yes, I do.

Questions 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?
Ans: By writing it down on my notepad and by online using hard drive.

Question 4
Do you Know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Ans: yes, I do.

When you click on wallet you scroll down to SBD and then click on the arrow pointing down and then click on transfer.

After typing in the username in the username you wish to send the steem, you click on next and complete your transaction.

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your steem?
Ans: yes.

To do this, once you click on wallet, you click power up next and then another page will pop up requesting for how many steem you would like to power up to steem power.

And then click on power up and the transaction is complete.
