What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a act of stealing someone else's creativity, ideas and language. It is considered to be cheating and corrupt act. Plagiarism is considered as a academic crime.

The content is consider plagiarised when you use other's content(image, video, ideas, creativity, content, ideas) in your own content without giving credit to original author, If you don't credit to author then your content consider plagiarised.

Types of Plagiarism

  1. Direct Plagiarism

When a author copy the text of other author without using quotations and without giving credit to that author whose text you have copied then this type of plagiarism is called direct plagiarism.

2. Mosaic Plagiarism

This type of plagiarism is difficult to detect, because you copied the idea, text, etc, from other's sources and combine it in your own text. For example if you want to write about dog foods, you copy text from two or more article and create a single article by combining them without giving any credit, this is mosaic plagiarism.

3. Complete Plagiarism

In this the the author steal the other's work and give his name as he created it.

For example I write a assignment to submit in the class, but my friend steal my assignment and submit it with his name.

4. Self Plagiarism

In Self Plagiarism the writer(Author) don't copied the other's work, but reused the previous text or paragraph without attribution in new article, means that author copied his previous work in new one.
