What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism can be defined as the act of using another authors words, language, thoughts, expressions or ideas as ones personal work.

Plagiarism has different definitions in the educational context depending on the institution. Plagiarism can also be seen as a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics, when plagiarism is done or committed one can be sanctioned such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school or work and even imprisonment, as there have been cases of people being imprisoned in India, Poland etc.

What are the different types of plagiarism
Direct plagiarism: The act of Copy writing another author's work without acknowledging the source of the material is termed direct plagiarism

Self Plagiarism: self-plagiarism occurs when a writer reuses some aspect of their own publication and copyrighted work in later work without referring to the previous publication that had the content.

Global plagiarism: Global plagiarism means taking a whole publication written by someone else and showcasing it as your own. This can mean getting a verbatim write up of someone else's work an submitting as your own work.

Complete plagiarism: This is the act of copying someone else's entire work and presenting as your own

Mosaic plagiarism: This is the act of mixing our publicationwith someone else's publication.

Hi @markben I hope you are well, after reviewing your achievement 3 i must inform you that this does not meet the requirements established for validation according to the Newcomers' Community.

Do not forget at the end of the post to put the sentence at the end:

"I have read and understood the steemit etiquette on steemit community and also will do my very best to embrace them."

“You must use one of the citation examples described in the explanation of achievement 3, For this you must make a post of no less than 200 words of your authorship about what plagiarism is and additionally include the aforementioned examples (they will not be counted within 200 words)”.

“All the content used that is not 100% of your authorship must be cited according to what is described in the protocol of achievement 3”.

Use the citations to identify the content that is not of your authorship, remember that the other part of the post must be of your authorship and not less than 200 words.

Make the corrections and I will come back to verify your achievement

Greetings

Hi, you need to provide an example of text citation.

If you have completely understood the content etiquette and seriousness of plagiarism then you should write these lines at the end of your post.

""I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them""

Do not repost, only make changes to this post.
