Achievement 5 task 2 by @madilyn02: review of the steemscan.com

Greetings my dear friends and supporters,
Welcome to my achievement 5task2 post. In this post I am going to be explaining my understanding of the steemit tool;steemscan.com, this is a very wonderful tool that allows you to convert your steem to another cryptocurrency, allows you to vote for witnesses, know the price of steem as well as perform other transactions. This tool was developed by @@@roadofrich and @@@futureshock.

In this post I was able to go through the the list of achievement tasks,material and tesources by @cryptokannon and I also went through the post by @yohan2on concerning the topic.

I will begin by attempting the questions below

(1)please explain the current steem price and volume on day of submission

As you can see in the screenshot, steem today=0.56usd
To convert to my currency:
1usd=412.55naira
So, 0.56usd=231.03naira

Steem today =0.56usd
Steem today =231.03 naira

From the above screenshot you also notice that the supply of steem is more than that of sBd, no wonder people change their sBd to steem.

(2)Please explain what all information is shown under latest transactions and latest blocks

Under the latest transactions that is seen below the latest prices and volumes in the home screen we can find current transactions such as comments, votes, claimed reward, transferred amounts, etc. We can also find the user who made the transactions and to whom he made the transaction to.
Ther we can see:
Sender: the user making the transactions

Type:this is the type of activity performed, either vote, comment, follow etc.

Timestamp:date and time tne transaction was carried out

Block id:A unique member

Reciever:the user recieving the asset

Amount payout:this shows thebvalue of the transaction

Question 3: Please explain What all information is shown under Witnesses section and steps to vote a Witness?

A steem witness is someone who is delegated by votes by the steemit community to create blocks. They act as the network block producers and governing body.
Steemit users use the term 'witness' but in other blockchains they may be called miners.

There I can see the height of the last Block, Transaction count and current witness voted. I can also see the list of active witnesses and their ranks.

Steps to vote a witness

• Enter the steemscan.com on your address bar
• CLICK on menu
• Find the witness you would like to vote and click on vote in the right hand side of his name.
  A window will pop out,
  Click on continue
  Then input your steemit id and posting key in the password section and then click get started to complete the voting process.

(4) please explain what is Dapps and tell us which you have already used or may use in the future as per your interest

Dapps which is decentralized apps some of which are integrated with steemit are apps where you can post some of your contents. Examples of such apps are dtube, steemhunt, steemworld, steemscan,etc.

I plan on using the dtube for posting videos on steemit in the future.

(5) please explain how to use 'quick convert' and which is the different fee charged for different steem amount

The quick convert session allows users to convert steem into other cryptocurrencies like BTC, TRX, USDT.
Here is how to do it
On the home screen of steemscan.com click on menu
Click on quick convert
Input the amount of steem you want to convert
Select the currency you want to convert to and put the address, either binance or any other, to deposit the currency amount you converted.
Click create and your order willbe placed.

In the above screenshot we can see the process I outlined earlier,
We can see the amount of steem I want to convert , below it we see the currency I want to convert to, We see where I will include my withdrawal address , we srr the approximation amount I will recieve in the other currency and then we see the fee that I will be charged for this.

(6)please explain what information is provided by the search feature

The search feature can be used to get information about transaction, blocks, account values,votes, witnesses in the blockchain.
