Achievement 2 @mac-5 [basic security on steem]
As a steemer ,it is our responsibility to keep our accounts safe to prevent scammers from tampering with your accounts. As a result of this steemit provided a way to keep our accounts safe which is by providing multiple passwords for different purposes. These passwords are usually called keys. They include;
1.POSTING KEY: This is a key used for everyday logins on steemit. This key enables a steemer to post, comment, vote and edit posts. It also helps a steemit user to follow and mute other accounts .
2.ACTIVE KEY: This is an important key that helps steemers to transfer funds, increase or decrease steem power, and converting steem dollars. This key is also used to vote for witnesses, update profile details and place market orders.
3.MEMO KEY: This is a key that helps a steemer to send short messages while transferring fuunds to other steemit users. These memos are usually private and should not be shared with anyone.
4.MASTER KEY: This is the most important key as it helps a steemer to change and derive other passwords. The master key is a key that secures your account . If someone gets this key , he or she will have access to your account, including your rewards or tokens.
5.OWNER KEY: This is a very powerful key. it should only be used when needed. This key can be used to get back accounts which have been lost, stolen or hacked. As the name implies , this key is a proof that a particular account is yours.
The above keys are very important and that is why it is safer to keep it offline. In this way, one can easily get the password from where it was written or saved
HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM
- Go to your profile and click on "wallet"
2.Click on one of your steem balances then click on transfer
- Fill in your name, receivers name and the amount you want to transfer . if there is an information you need to send, write it in the "memo" box. Then click on OK
HOW TO POWER UP STEEM
- Go your profile and click on wallet
- Go to one of your steem balances and click on " power up"
- fill in your name and amount to be used. then click on OK

Ans: I took a screenshot and backed it up to the cloud and my google drive . I also wrote it down on my diary
