Our objective in this task is to have knowledge of basic security on Steem.

We should have learned every key function and restriction and know how to transfer and power up our Steem.

We have different types of keys and different uses for them, so let's start with :

The posting key has the fewest authorities in our list of keys. We can only use this key to perform social activities such as posting, commenting, voting, etc.
It is also the safest option to always use. If by any chance this key gets stolen or hacked, the only things they can do with the account are the social activities.

Active key is meant for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, powering up, etc.
In most cases, you will need the active key if you are informed by the interface that the posting key is insufficient and need a higher authority key.

The owner key is used to reset all your other keys. It is recommended to keep it offline and only use it when necessary.

"MASTER PASSWORD," also known as "THE SEED," is the only password we have here on Steemit. The rest are keys.

The Master Password is the password you get upon signing up and is used to generate all the other keys, including the Owner Key. The only time you should ever really be using your master password is when you are going through account recovery.
It can be used to perform any function on Steem, from social activities to financial activities. For security reasons, it is not advisable to do so.

For security reasons, we are all advised to secure our keys and master passwords and keep them in a safe place.

Remember, our account has sensitive information that we don't want to see stolen. That's why it's important to take care of the keys and master passwords.

I printed three copies of it and put one copy in the safety deposit box and the other is a secret haha.

And now we move on to our next topic, which is how to transfer and power up steem.

Here's how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account:

First click on the avatar and a drop box will appear. Choose Wallet.

It shows the drop-down boxes you need to click to perform some of the transactions above. For now, click the transfer.

And you will be moved here:

Fill this up after you're done, press Next. And press "OK" to confirm your transaction.

This is how we transfer our steem token to other account.

To power up our STEEM:
Repeat steps one and two. This time, press Power up.

Enter the desired amount of STEEM and press the power up button.
