Achievement 2: Basic security on steemit

hello steemians , today I'll be sharing my achievement 2 post "basic security on steemit", I hope you find it interesting.

The importance of security cannot be over emphasized . As much as we strive daily to earn and build our account , it is also very important that we secure our investments and understand some measures that will help prevent future problems as failure to do so may lead to loss of account or loss of keys.
On this note the steemit platform has put up some security measures to protect it's users and their investments, it has also made sure every user gets informed about the various keys and security measures put in place to protect them by having them study and do a post on their knowledge of the steem security.
I will be sharing my knowledge on steem security based on the following questions:

Question 1 : Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yes I have, just do the following ;
Just click on wallet
Then Click on keys and permission

Question 2
Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions ?

Yes I do,
Master password
is the most important key and is irrecoverable if lost. As the name implies" master password", it is the master password used to generate and recover all the keys including the owner key. It is the password you get upon signing up. If someone has access to your master password , your account can be stolen, so it is advised that you do not share it and store it somewhere safe example a hard drive or a flash drive

OWNER KEY
This is the most powerful key, it can be used to change every other key and can be used to recover your account, it is advised that you do not share it and you should keep it safe

ACTIVE KEY
This is a frequently used key, it can be used for the following;
*Transfer funds
*Power ups & downs transactions
*Converting steem dollars
*Voting for witnesses
*Updating profile details and placing market orders

POSTING KEY
This is another frequently used key, it is used for the following ;
*Post
*Comment
*Edit
*Follow
*Mute other accounts

MEMO KEY
This key is used to ensure privacy , it is used thus;
*It is used for encrypting (encoding) messages
*It is used for decrypting (decoding) messages

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password ?
Because of how important this password is and it's irrecoverable nature,it is important that you do not save this password in just one place or device just in case of failures, so I had to save mine in different devices like in a flash drive, in my computer, in a hard drive and I also made a printed copy

Question 4: do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account ?

Yes I do, it is pretty simple just follow the steps below , each step is given the number tag in the pictures attached:

From your profile click on wallet (1)
Click on steem balance (2), a dropbox will then appear containing several options
Click on transfer (3), a new page will open requiring you to fill in the details of the transfer like amount etc.
After inputting the details click on next (4)
After that confirm the details then click ok

Question 5: do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes I do, this is all so simple just follow the steps below
From your profile go to WALLET ( tag 1&2), a new page then opens
Click on STEEM BALANCE (3)
A Dropbox then appears with several options , click on POWER-UP (4)
another page will then open requiring you to fill in some details(eg amount), fill in the details then click on POWER-UP (5)

NOTE : your password should not be shared !!, guard it diligently.
