Achievement 2: Basic Security on Steemit||by @Kennie19

Greetings Steemians.
Am so glad to have finally made time to delivery my second achievement task after long procrastination due to my choke schedule, am really overjoyed to be able to keep up with this activity.

INTRODUCTION
I will be writing on steem basic security, accompanied with a task.
What'ssecurity? Security simply put is a state of being free from threat or danger, inorder words taking and observing all safety procedures or precautions in order to stay safe and protected.

Security is a pivotal issue when it comes to online platforms, hackers uses this online platforms to take captive of innocent and naive ones by using advertisements, or sending a direct message to lure their unsuspecting victims with a fascinating offer in bide to procure an information in a schlenter means.

Steemit however have come up with a sui generis security system to stymie the prevalence cyber crimes knows as hacking by means of five exclusive different keys which operates on different level or projects.
These keys are posting key, Active Key, Owner Key, Master key and Memo Key.

Answers to the tasks

1. How can you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
   I can retrieve my keys on steemit by using the master key which is the most important key among all other keys. For instance, i forgot one of the keys or password to access my steemit account like the posting key, to retrieve that lost or forgotten key i will login with my master key to regenerate or retrieved all the lost keys.

1. Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions? Yes i am familiar with keys functions and restrictions.

POSTING KEY
The posting key is used to upvote, post, comment, edit a post or comments, downvote and muting of an account. The posting key is the least in the hierarchy of steemit private keys.

Apart from the activities precious highlighted it can also be used to login to steemit powered social media account platforms.

If unfortunately the posting key is stolen it does not grant access to tokens in one's account this means that the intruder will be unable to transfer, convert, or exchange the tokens in the steem wallet.

This does not in anyway give room for carelessness, the posting key should be kept save.
To find this key login to your steemit account, click on keys and permission, scroll down and click on posting key and you will see your posting key.

ACTIVE KEY
The active key is specifically use to perform actions relating to tokens. It use for tokens transactions such as transfer and exchange of SBD, converting of votes, and placing an order of exchange, power up, p ower down and upholding of votes .

To find the active key login to your Steam account go to the wallet, click on the key, give consent, then proceed to the active key and once that is done your active key will display.

OWNER KEY
This is the most the delicate key in the hierarchy of keys private because it has the capacity to change all other keys or reset it. It can be used to recover a lost or forgotten account when necessary.

The owner key is likewise use to deny voting rights and reset the posting and active key by means of the owner key active key and posting key can be successfully resetted.

Because of the delicateness of this key it calls for high safety measures and consciousness on steem users, because if the owner key is tampered with it gives access to the intruder why the rightful owner loses access to his account and it is irretrievable.

MASTER KEY
The master key the first key given to every Steemians once they have successfully sign up the master key gives birth to all other keys for this peculiar reason it is referred to as the master key because you generate all other keys.

To avoid being messed or tampered with it is recommended or advisable to keep the master key offline aside storing it save and it should be used only when the need arises.

MEMO KEY
Memo key is used to encrypt and the decrypt private messages when transferring funds.

3.How do you plan to keep your master password?

To keep my master password safe and untempered i will keep it out of reach, that's offline and only use it when need be

4.Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem account?

Yes i know using the method below and the incorporated images.
First, I will login to my wallet using my active key.

Further, I will click on the steem arrow once it opens up a drop menu , I will login by typing my details, see the images below.

At this point I can enter the Steem account details of which I intend to make the transfer to and click the next button. See the image below

5.Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes and I'll also explain how to go about it using images.

The power up my steem I will login to my wallet using the active key then I will select the option to turn on power up button.

After making the selection thereafter I can now enter any amount I wish to gain and click power up button to gain it.

The same procedure applies to power down, login to steem account wallet and click on the power down button, enter the amount you desire to power down and make your submission. see the images below.

I can use the power down button if i want to shut down my device, for instance if I am using a computer.
