Hey amigos🙌🏽, this is kenneth00 here, I live in ghana and this would be my ACHIEVEMENT 5 Task 2 post which would be Reviewing Steemscan.com

  • To my basic understanding, Steemscan.com is a Steem tool that can be used to check the rates of steem to other currencies or cryptocurrencies, to vote and check for witnesses, and mainly the conversion and withdrawal of steem as well as the checking of transactions(votes, comments, etc..) and block sections on the STEEMIT social platform.
This posts answers would be related to the Questions asked by @cryptokannon on the task.

I) PRICE OF STEEM AS AT THE TIME OF CREATING THIS POST

As at time of this post, a single unit of Steem was at the price of $0.54 Compared to the US Dollar (USD) that is~ 1Steem=$0.54 and the volume or height was at 57,793,418

You can always change the currency you want to compare Steem with, they include ETH, TRX, BTC, GBP, EUR etc..

ii) INFORMATION SHOWN UNDER THE LATEST TRANSACTION and LATEST BLOCK SECTION

The page that shows this data is written immediately below the price page.

  • LATEST TRANSACTION: this option shows the various activities going on with the steemit social platform as they happen, they include voting, commenting, following, orders and cancels. It also shows the transactions happening and ID of the various users, customJson etc....

  • BLOCK SECTION: this shows info on the ID of users in transactions, height, time and also the block transactions.

iii) INFORMATION SHOWN UNDER THE WITNESS SECTION AND HOW TO VOTE FOR WITNESSES

this part of the Steemscan.com page shows the users that are active on the steemit social platform, users that have mined steem, transaction count and current witnesses along with the total and last block volume.

STEPS IN VOTING FOR WITNESSES

  • this process requires clicking the Menu option at the top left side of the screen, and further click the "Witnesses" option in the next list that appears
  • you then proceed by clicking on any of the users displayed to vote

A Pictorial Representation is shown below 👇

iv) EXPLANATION OF DApps and LISTING OF DApps that might be of my best Interest

  • As the name implies, DApps are Decentralized Applications :

"they are computer applications that runs on a distributed computing system. DApps have been popularized by distributed ledger technologies (DLT) such as the Ethereum blockchain, where DApps are often referred to as smart contracts." - Wikipedia
Soucrce"Wikipedia"

For something to be Decentralized means it has no central controlling power or body.
They are varieties of DApps on Steem and a screenshot some of them below 👇

As you can see in the screenshot, Many of the DApps have different uses as they are some for entertainment, tools, gambling, gaming and also a social DApps like Steemit.
I think I'll be making use of Dtube, Kryptogamers, and ofcourse the Steemscan DApp too.

v) HOW TO MAKE USE OF QUICK CONVERT AND DIFFERENT FEES CHARGED FOR STEEM AMOUNT WITHDRAWAL

The quick convert option is used when you either want to withdraw tokens from your steem wallet or convert to another cryptocurrency, conversion is done according to the rates by the site. When withdrawing tokens, especially to USDT($), a fee of $1.08 is charged based on the amount you are withdrawing. For example I'm withdrawing 77 steem, I would be getting $28.64 in crypto form(US tether) and a fee of $1 would be charged. Its always advisable to convert tokens to currencies that are charged less for, such as TRX rather than BTC or USDT.

VI) INFORMATION SHOWN BY THE SEARCH BUTTON:

this button is also located under the "Menu" and it helps the user keep track of particular transactions, eg comments, delete comments, Witnesses, order create and cancels, customJson and many more and the search type could be trimmed down to Transaction, Block or Account.
