Hello daring and creative minds. I am writing my Achievement 3 post today and I am going to be talking about content etiquettes. According to oxford language dictionary, 'etiquettes are the customary code of polite behaviour in a society or among members of a particular profession or group.

PLAGIARISM

Imagine creating something beautiful or sharing a great idea with someone and then the person goes ahead to use your creations or ideas without acknowledging you, crazy right? That is how people feel when you plagiarize them.

The time I have spent here has taught me to acknowledge people when you use their ideas or copy their words. Plagiarism is not originality and you should always strive to be yourself. Whenever you use someone's ideas or words always make sure to reference them.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

Different types of plagiarism include:
DIRECT PLAGIARISM
SELF PLAGIARISM
MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

PENALTY FOR PLAGIARISM

In STEEMIT community, plagiarism is frowned upon and defaulters will face consequences for disregarding the copyright law.
Community members will downvote any plagiarised contents.

WAYS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

1. Make sure to reference any sources you uses either from the web or an individual.
2. Ask for permission before using other people's ideas.
3. Be creative on your own.
4. Make sure you know what plagiarism means.
5. Be careful with paraphrasing so as not to overdo it.
