This is my achievement 2 about the basic security in steemit.

Security is a must in every situation that we deal in our life and when considering about the online platforms it is a must that we should concern about. In online platforms many issues like hacking can be happen. Even though in this block chain platform hacking is impossible there can be some attacks to using our keys. Therefore protecting our keys is a must when we are using this platform. Safety comes first before anything. So as the first step we must get the knowledge of our keys, get them and we must secure them ensuring that no attack will be there for our accounts.

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes. I have already retrieved all my keys on steemit and secured them to ensure that a third party will not get hold on those keys.

Question2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yeah. Basically we are having main five keys when using this steemit platform which give access to different activities in steemit.
They are,
1) Master key
2) Private Posting key
3) Private Active key
4) Owner key
5) Memo key

Master Key: This key is only used to derive all keys for the account or when recovering something. We should keep this key safely without letting anyone steal it.

Private Posting key: This key is used in our daily log ins to the steemit account. When posting, voting, commenting and resteeming use this key.

Private Active key: This is use in steemit wallet transactions like power ups, transfers, delegating and voting for witnesses.

Owner key: This key is the most powerful key which is used to derive all keys for the account. Using this key we can change any key.

Memo key: This key is not in use currently and normally used to handle private messages. Used to encrypt and decrypt memos.

We should keep all these keys safely by saving them in a pdf, taking a printout and also in the written form too. But make sure any person other than you is not using your keys. And also make sure to remember the place you kept the key written paper. We must never ever use the master key and the owner key in daily activities of stemit.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?

I write it down on a paper kept safely and also save the password as a pdf in a safe folder in my laptop & also took a printout of it. I make sure that I’m never gonna misplace the password written paper anywhere.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes. I know how to transfer steem token to another steem account.

First log into your wallet using your posting key.

Then lick the down the arrow near your steem token.

Click the transfer icon

You will get the following dialogue box

Click next and then confirm by clicking Ok.

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes. I know how to power up my steem

First log in to the wallet

Click the down arrow near your steem token value

Click the power up option

You will get the following dialogue box

Click power up icon then click ok to confirm.
