ACHIEVEMENT2 @justiceanietie Task: Basic Security on Steem

Hello great steemians, today I will be sharing my achievement 2 task on Basic security on steemit. This is to enable users to understand the basic functions of each security keys and how to save and secure them from been hacked. Bellow are the steps in achieving the above:

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Answer: Yes

Question 2
Do you know each of this keys functions and restrictions?
Answer: Yes

Master Key: this key control all other keys and its not always use onless when you fill that your account want to be hacked, then you can use your master key to change all keys. This will help to reset your security keys.

Active Key: Active key helps you to make transfer from your wallet to another steemit user.

Posting Key: this key is used when up voting, down voting, or during posting. But it's not always required because the process does not affect the owner's balance.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?
Answer: I have save my master password on hard disk, flash derive, on my phone even forward it to my email. Note; I have written it down somewhere that I cannot easily forget in case the hard drive, flash or phone is corrupt, not to talk of e-mail, which can be hacked. But in writing the master password, one needs to be careful because it is alphanumeric.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another user account?
Answer: Yes. Bellow is the process of transferring steem to another user account

1. Login to your steemit account

2. Click on wallet
   

3. Locate and click the small black flyout on steem
   

4. Click on transfer
   

5. Enter the recipient steemit account name
   

6. Enter the amount of steem you want to transfer as shown above.

7. Write something on your memo

8. Click next

9. Confirm transfer by clicking OK.
   

It's sent.

Question 5
Do you knowhow to power up your steem?
Bellow is the process of powering up your steem

1. Go to your wallet
   

2. Click on the small black flyout on steem, a drop down menu will display

1. Select power up
   

2. Put the amount of steem you wish to power up
   

3. Click on power up, in the above image. it takes you to another page

4. Confirmed the transaction by clicking OK

5. Insect your private active key and
   

6. Click sign in

And the amout of steem will be sent o your Steem Power.
