ACHIEVEMENT TWO - BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT || 2ND OF DECEMBER, 2021 @justeenah

INTRODUCTION

Greetings, esteemed Stemians, and a happy new month to you all. It's been less than a month since I joined this community, but because of the new things I've learned from this platform, it feels like it's been a long time. This community deserves a big thank you for confirming my first Achievement post. The verification boosted my drive, and I'm thrilled to be able to share my Achievement Two (2) post with you.
We will examine Basic Security on STEEMIT under the following sub-headings for the Achievement two task:

• How i intend to Protect my STEEMIT key

DEFINITION OF SECURITY

Security is extremely vital in today's environment, no matter where we are. Simply expressed, security refers to both safety and the steps taken to ensure that one is safe or protected. The presence of high security protects us against online hackers and other threats that arise from a lack of security. Every day, people utilize internet platforms to hack into other people's information and steal crucial or private information, which they then use to threaten them. These incidents will become a thing of the past if strong security is enforced. STEEMIT basic security covers what you can do to keep your STEEMIT account safe from cyber criminals and hackers.

TYPES AND FUNCTIONS OF STEEMIT KEYS

STEEMIT has three (3) categories of keys which includes:

• TRON account key
• STEEMIT Private key
• Public keys

A. TRON ACCOUNT KEY:

This is made up of two keys which are; TRON Private Key and TRON public key.
The TRON private key is used for signing a TRON transaction. More so, it can be used for transferring, voting and freezing token/coins. This key has the highest authority on the TRON account.
The TRON public Key is the key used for TRONS transfer.Token/coins can be sent to this key whenever you want to.

B. STEEMIT PRIVATE KEYS

These keys are four (4) which includes;

PRIVATE POSTING KEY: This is used to login into Apps such as steemit.com. It can as well be used to perform social actions such as; posting, commenting and voting on steemit.com

PRIVATE MEMO KEY: This is a key that must be well kept and secure because it is used to decrypt private transfer memos with any transaction failure.

PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY: This is a key used for wallet related deals and monetary actions. It can be used for transferring tokens or powering STEEM up or down without stress or mistakes.

PRIVATE OWNER KEY: It is recommended to keep this key offline at all times. It is used to reset all other keys. This key can be used to recover one's account if closed within thirty (30 ) days.

C. PUBLIC KEYS:

These keys are attributed with usernames and are used to encrypt and verify messages. Examples of these keys are; Posting public key, Memo public key, Active public key, Owner public key.

MASTER PASSWORD

The master password is a closely guarded secret that should not be shared or broadcast. It is the basic data that is being utilized to generate the document, which includes your steemit keys information.

IMPORTANCE OF STEEMIT KEYS

1. STEEMIT Keys protect user actions from prying eyes.
2. STEEMIT Keys ensure transaction security.
3. STEEMIT Keys keeps your account safe from hackers.
4. STEEMIT Keys allows for a more stringent security protocol.
5. STEEMIT Keys guarantees that tokens are transferred safely.

THE ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE OF STEEMIT KEYS

The STEEMIT Keys were created in conjunction with QR barcodes. This QR bar code technology indicates that the STEEMIT platform was created using cutting-edge technology.
When scanned with a QR-enabled device, the QR barcode will allow steemians to instantly retrieve their encrypted password information.
Let's take a look at the architectural view of each TRON and STEEMIT keys below:

TRON PUBLIC KEYS (TRON ADDRESS)

This key has a total of 34 data entries and is made up of upper and lower case letters as well as numbers.

TRON PRIVATE KEY

It consists of an upper case, lower case and few numbers with a total number of sixty four (64) data entries.

PRIVATE POSTING KEY

Consist of 51 data entries that are made up of an upper case, a lower case and some numbers.

PRIVATE MEMO KEY

This key has 51 data entries with a combination of upper and lowercase letters and numbers.

PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY

This key consists of 51 strong data items that includes an upper case, lowercase and digits.

PRIVATE OWNER KEY

The private owner key consists of 51 data items with well organized upper and lower case alphabets with digits.

HOW I INTEND TO PROTECT MY STEEMIT KEY

I have protected my STEEMIT keys by downloading the PDF and creating a folder on my google drive and uploading them there which only me will have access to. I have also saved it by writing it down on a notepad.

EIGHT (8) SMART WAYS OF TRANSFERRING FUNDS ON STEEMIT.

To make transfers from your STEEMIT Wallet, follow these steps:

Below are some simple steps for making transfer from your wallet:

• Sign into steemit
• Click on the wallet menu

• Click on the drop down arrow and you will see a dialogue box

• Click on Transfer

• Type in the receiver's user name and amount of stems to be transferred

Enter a memo to ensure a successful transaction

• Finally complete the transaction by inputting your active key
• Then click on next

SEVEN(7) SMART STEPS TO POWER UP ON STEEMIT

• Sign in into steemit
• Click on steem wallet

Click on the drop down arrow beside steem and you will see a box

• Click on Power up

• Enter the amount of steemit you want to use for powering up

Click on power up

Complete your transaction by entering your active key.
