Achievement 2 by @jonesfx : basic security on steemit

Good day steemians few days back I completed my achievement 1 and now I want to present to you guys my achievement 2 task

QUESTION 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes alll my keys has been retrieve on steemit they include the posting, active, memo and owners key.

QUESTION 2
do you know each of this key function and restriction?

Yes I perfectly understand them I will further explain them below.

-posting key
This is the key that permits a steem account to post, vote, resteem, comment, follow and unfollow, edit. This key is advisable for the usage of our day to day logging in the steem platform and cannot carryout any monetary transaction on steem as the is a key for that.

-Active key
This is the key which is responsible for the transfer of funds, powerup and down, converting steem dollars to steem, updating profile information, placing an order in the market etc so we can say this key is what is use to carryout important transactions on the steemit platform.

-Memo key
This is the key responsible for encrypting and decrypting private messages that are send through blockchain during transfer of funds. Inorder to do this the pound sign (#) is use before the message.

-owner key
This key is use only when it is necessary since this key can be use to change any of the keys in an account. It is meant for offline keeping since it could be used to retrieve a lost account.

QUESTION 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?

I plan to keep my master password mainly through hardcopy saving and soft copy in my drive which can be accessed anytime even if my device is lost.

QUESTION 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem account?

Yes I know perfectly well I will use a screenshot illustration to explain this further.

The first thing to do is to click on your profile picture at the top left, and choosen wallet as indicated below.

You will arive on your account wallet page as seen below.

Click on the steem amount , a drop down will pull-up click on transfer to begin the process.

A fill out page will emerge as seen below, fill in the receivers amount, username, amount of steem to be transfered and a memo space if any.
Now click on the button next.

You will arive at the confirmation page in order to review your entries if the is any error for possible arrangements then click on ok.

You would be taken to the final page to validate you transaction here you can input your active key in the provided space and click on the signin button.

QUESTION 5
do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes I know how to power up my steem very well below is a graphic representation on how to do that.

Go to your wallet page as shown in the illustration above, when you get there click on the steem amount, a drop down will pull-up then you click on power-up and you will be taken to the fill out page.

When you arrive the fill out page put the amount of steem you want to power up as seen below

You will be brought to the review page for cross check incase of any mistakes for possible adjustments, if every thing is correct, click on OK and advance to the completion "power up page"

You will be taken to the final page to validate your transfer.
You make available your Active key, owner key or master password in the space provided and click signin button

Now you just succeeded in powering up your steem when you get to your wallet page all balances will be swiftly updated.
